Myofascial/Cranial Sacral Therapies
Donna Arsenault, PT. has extensive training in cranial sacral therapy. This treatment modality involves gentle manipulation of the spine, scull, cranial sutures, diaphragms and fascia to assist in the movement of cerebral spinal fluid, open up the nerve passages, and allow bones to move towards their proper positioning.
Myofascial release is a form of soft tissue manual therapy that acts to relax muscles, stretch fascia, increase lymphatic drainage, and increase circulation. This treatment modality is an effective means for increasing range of motion and decreasing pain.
Tab 6. Occupational Rehabilitation Program
Sport-Medic Physiotherapy Clinic has received CARF accreditation for its Occupation Rehabilitation Program. This allows the clinic to be part of the Premiere Health Care Network (PHN).
The Occupational Rehabilitation Program offers individualized programs focused on return to work and function of our clients. Services provided are coordinated and proactive for the management of those with injury and loss of function due to injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.
The program will identify, address and reduce, where possible, the risks of injury, re-injury or disease and illness that has been caused or exacerbated due to a motor vehicle accident.
This program encourages strict standards that we adhere to including yearly statistics reports; consistent monitoring and goal setting with clients; and regular re-assessments.
